Wyvern Cottage

John Kiely the newly appointed Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Filton and Bradley Stoke Constituency (which includes Winterbourne) has joined the protest against the demolition of Wyvern Cottage in Watley's End,Winterbourne.

Mr Kiely has written a letter to the Planning department to ask that the Council rejects a plan by Tetris to demolish this historic local landmark. John Kiely adds 'Following the Gazette's coverage of this proposed demolition, I wanted to add my support to that of the local residents fighting this scheme. There is far too much development going on locally, with another 30,000 houses planned for the South Gloucestershire area. We must do all we can to protect our built heritage for future generations to enjoy. I have therefore written a letter to the planners to show my support for the residents fighting this scheme.'
