Local Frenchay Hospital campaigner Emma Bone, was today at Frenchay to congratulate local schoolgirl Emily Daverson for raising more than £800 for the Macmillan Unit.

Emily 12, raised the money through a sponsored 'vegetarian diet week'. An idea inspired by Emily's Grandmother, Liz, who is currently being treated for cancer at the Unit.

Emma Bone commented:

"I am hugely impressed with Emily's fundraising.

"Like many local people, I have cause to treasure the work of Macmillan and can only congratulate the efforts of Emily and her family in supporting the Macmillan Unit at Frenchay Hospital."
