Lib Dem Party President Simon Hughes MP opening Emma Bone's new campaign office in Downend

President of the Liberal Democrats, Simon Hughes MP was today in South Gloucestershire to open the new campaign offices of the Filton and Bradley Stoke Liberal Democrats.

Speaking after the opening ceremony Simon Hughes commented:

"Emma Bone is a hardworking local campaigner who will make an excellent MP for this area. These new offices will assist Emma greatly in her bid to save Frenchay Hospital for example"

Emma Bone, the prospective Lib Dem MP for Filton and Bradley Stoke, added:

"I'm immensely happy that the office has finally been opened, and it's great to welcome someone as high profile as Simon to officially unveil it.

"We're in a good location within the constituency which makes it relatively easy to get to for any FaBS constituents that might need help with anything.

"Now that the office is up and running we can continue campaigning hard on local issues, such as our ongoing fight against the government plans to downgrade Frenchay hospital."
